Because everyone deserves to know what is in our food and cosmetics. Most companies only care about profits and hide their cost-cutting additives via marketing. The only way to protect yourself is through knowledge of the ingredients, facts, and data.

Where does your data come from?

We use various sources as well as internal database, including Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts, peer-reviewed studies, regulatory filings, and independent lab testing.

Do you take money from brands?

No. Prism is not sponsored. We do not take affiliate revenue tied to specific products and we do not let brands buy a better score.

Can I customize what gets flagged?

Yes. You can set your personal preferences which include diet, allergens, religious preferences, avoidances etc... Then the Prism score will tailor the score to you.

Is my browsing data private?

Yes. Your past scans are cached locally on YOUR browser for seven (7) days for you to retrieve. We do NOT collect or store any of your data. See the Privacy page for the full breakdown.

What if Prism is wrong about something?

You can let us know via the report button. We update flags when better evidence arrives and we publish the changes.
